Empowering Women & Supporting Local Businesses
There is no greater joy than helping another woman who is a local entrepreneur! I am so glad I could help these two women entrepreneurs here in the Bay Area. It was a very fulfilling use of downtime.
Caterer Angela Chow was booked through summer for 2020 until March when Covid hit and everyone canceled. She serves high-end clients in the Bay Area including Google and has all 5-star reviews. In 2021, Angela was determined to reboot her business and rewrote her menu. She brought her amazing dishes and gorgeous edible flower garnishes. We styled them together and I captured all the shots for her.
Look what we created over time! The best story for me is that her clients immediately book without a tasting when they see these images.
This image was made after our first day. I kept putting all of the dishes aside and then surprised her with this hero shot using her food, tools, sauces, and garnishes to help tell her story.
Check out her beautiful edible flower and herb garnishes.
Angela always takes the time to plate and garnish her dishes with beautiful edible herbs and flowers. Here you see arugula, cress, micro-flowers, firestix, chive flowers, squash blossom, lemongrass, mung flowers, and orchids.
Zeila Santos-Schappelle, the founder of Brigadeiros Sprinkles, needed images for her website. She uses her grandmother’s recipe to create the most amazing Brazilian-style chocolate truffles. She works a full-time job, raises a daughter, and launches her candy company in her spare time. Who could resist helping her or her mission?
